Ya know, I've watched bits and pieces of this very popular movie called " Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi"* and always thought it so ridiculous! This middle aged loser gets lucky and marries a hot chick who he then proceeds to trick into falling for a slicker, fancied up, secret version of himself to make her happy?! Yeah sounds like a good plan.

But for some reason I never got to see the beginning of this movie. Till recently when I happened to be channel surfing . And I must say, the rest of the story now seems like an upward curve🙄

So basically, this girls fiancé ( a love match that too, as her father tells us) and his whole entire family die..yeah DIE..on the way to their wedding. The father of the would be bride is tremendously shocked by this turn of events and has a heart attack. And so on his death bed , this professor, an educated man, tells his daughter " What will happen to you now? You are without a man in your life to protect you ...Marry this Lolo** looking stranger you've met just today because I think he's a good guy and he got straight A's in school..He is obviously the right man for you! At least,then i can die in peace with the knowledge that you're now married and in safe (manly) hands."

* Slow Blinks*

I mean she could have gotten herself a job, become a CEO, saved orphans, climbed the Everest, I dunno, conquered the World instead...but that's just me, what do I know?🤷

Well then, she marries him in a quickie ceremony and dad DIES a very happy man too!

And so a whole bunch of people DIE so these two awkward strangers can dance around and fall in love eventually, all trickery and clandestine behaviour forgiven!

Summer 2018 Staycation: Granpa's Inn- Bougainvillea

Grandpa's Inn- Bougainvillea is a completely delightful property in Anjuna, Goa.

It has maintained it's integrity as a quaint old Goan home and Estate while providing all the comforts of a modern resort. The simple and elegantly decorated rooms are just enough.

We stayed there for weekend along with my brother and dad and we all had a cozy,relaxing time together as a family.

We booked two adjoining rooms which are located away from the main building and were newer constructions but they were given features of an old Goan-Portuguese home ,including a lovely individual balcao*  and so they melded in seamlessly with the old.

Our Room Tariff was inclusive of breakfast which we had sitting outside enjoying the mellow sun. The staff was conscientious and helpful and even offered us Cornflakes for Hope, my younger one, without us asking and we appreciated the gesture.

We followed our leisurely breakfast with more lolling about. Faith, my older one had a gala time in the pool and Hope ran about on the lawns playing a game of ball with her dad.

We spent time laughing, chatting and just taking time out. The beautiful architecture of the old home and the wonderfully preserved vintage furniture had us enthralled. But mostly we welcomed the calm, green and tranquil atmosphere.

Pull a Chair and Grab a Glass of Wine...Or a Slice of Cake? Mi Casa es Su Casa!

For since as long as I can remember, people have been telling me that I tell a good story. My family, cousins, friends. They all seem to take great pleasure in my tall tales. Haha.

As I got older, I realised I like to write my stories far more than I liked to narrate them. So I used Facebook to pen down my many random observations, ideas, Life Lessons and daily occurrences. And what do you know? My facebook friends, instead of getting annoyed with the silly stuff popping up on their feeds,wrote in to say I should Blog!

I've been skeptical about this whole blogging thing if I'm to be honest. For one, I'm technologically challenged, secondly, I'm a champion procrastinator but mostly I'm just wondering who the heck will actually come all the way over here to read me prattling on?

But, I'd hate not to try out something at least once and so here we are!

Plus Size!) and anything and everything that motivates me to write! Like my kids... Did I mention them already?
